Ahmed Amir holds art exhibition at Chaya Island

An art exhibition showcasing the works of local artist Ahmed Amir has begun at the Chaya Island at Dhonveli Beach, yesterday.

The two-day exhibition called “Natural Beauty” is aimed at tourists and will showcase beautiful scenes from around Maldives.

According to Amir, who has won numerous awards for his art, 30 of his paintings would be on display at the exhibition.

“This exhibition was specifically aimed towards tourists,” he said. “Another exhibition will be held in six months and I am now preparing for it.”

He also said that the paintings on display at the exhibition will be available for sale for interested buyers. The prices range from between US$450 to US$1,100.
